Dear employees and customers,

As we enter the second quarter of 2023, we look back on years of global challenges and how we remained resilient, adapted to change, and maintained sustainable growth for our over five hundred family members. We recognize and appreciate the tireless efforts of our CBX One-Team, who worked around the clock to keep our customers’ supply chain running and are committed to providing excellent service. We understand that the success of our business is closely linked to the satisfaction of our customers, which is why our focus remains on providing personalized service, innovation, and efficient logistics solutions tailored to their evolving needs.

For the last three years, our company has been in a non-stop evolution including of business culture, technology, business intelligence, innovation, education, and commercial strategies.

In 2022, CBX Global freight forwarding division handled over 57,000 shipments, continuing the non-stop growth of the past few years and moving the company to levels never recorded in the history of CBX Global.

Other general facts of our company are:

* Our service percentage for 2022 was around 60% for Ocean Full Container Loads (FCL), 9.5% were Less Container Load shipments (LCL), and 11.7% were airfreight (Air). This volume does not include the volume of our China division and local entities by country.

* CBX North America continues to be the biggest market of our company (JAX, MIA, INT, and GSO), followed (in this order) very close by the Caribbean region (SDQ, SJU, and BQN), Central America (SAP, SAL, GUA, MGA, and SJO), Asia (China/HNK), and the rest of the world.

* CBX’s major commodity remains healthcare, retail, apparel, raw materials, and renewables. North America and the Caribbean major commodities continue to be Healthcare and Retail, Central America’s major commodity continues to be the apparel industry, and Asia’s significant exports continue to be retail and raw materials.

* The fastest-growing business of CBX Global is our 3PL/warehouse services and healthcare.

* The busiest and highest months of CBX Global are March and August to November.

I would also love to share some facts about the countries in which CBX Global has a footprint:

* The Dominican Republic has experienced strong economic growth in recent years, driving increased demand for logistics services. One of the most impressive GDP growths of the western hemisphere: 5.1% in 2019, 6.7% in 2020, 6.5% in 2021, and an estimate of 5,5% in 2022.

* Puerto Rico is a major importer of consumer goods and a healthcare (pharma/medical device) manufacturing hub.

After many years of challenging times, Puerto Rico's economy began to show signs of recovery, with a projected growth rate of 3.2% in 2021 and an estimated 1.6% for 2022. Puerto Rico's economy is linked to the United States, and broader economic trends influence its financial performance.

* Central America is a major exporter of agricultural products, textiles, and apparel. Logistics companies specialize in transporting and storing these products and others, such as machinery, electronics, and raw materials. The region’s growth is 2.5% in 2019, 6.5% in 2020, 3.5% in 2021, and an estimated 4.1% in 2022. Guatemala is the largest economy in Central America, followed by Costa Rica. For CBX Global, Honduras is the biggest station in the region for our company, followed by El Salvador.

* The United States experienced a strong economy in 2019, but growth was significantly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. The region’s growth is 2.2% in 2019, 3.5% in 2020, 5.6% in 2021, and an estimated 4.9% in 2022. For CBX, Healthcare, finished goods/retails remain this region’s biggest market.

* China exports electronics, machinery, textiles, raw materials, and other manufactured goods. The region’s growth is 6.1% in 2019, 2.3% in 2020, 8.1% in 2021, and an estimated 5.8% in 2022. China's economic growth has been impacted by various factors in recent years, including trade tensions with the United States, the COVID-19 pandemic, and a slowdown in domestic demand.

* Bangladesh's economy heavily depends on the garment industry, which accounts for a significant portion of the country's exports. The region’s growth is 8.2% in 2019, 5.2% in 2020, 6.8% in 2021, and an estimated 6.4% in 2022.

Other key facts:

* For many countries like the USA, PR, and DR, renewables are one of the fastest growing industries for CBX.

* Costa Rica and Bangladesh are our newest stations.

* The sustainable growth is based on our company's vast experience and the countries' global forecast. For 2023-2024, CBX Global’s focus remains on commodities like healthcare, retail, apparel, and renewables.

Our commitment to providing efficient and reliable logistics solutions has enabled us to support the growth of businesses in these regions. We are dedicated to strengthening our partnerships with customers and stakeholders as we work together to drive growth and prosperity.

CBX Global's vision is to catalyze positive change and development, and we are excited to see what the future holds. I feel proud of the fantastic work of our team, customers, and vendors. Logistics Industry 2023 volume challenges

In 2023, we continue facing numerous challenges, but our CBX Global team has consistently gone above and beyond, as demonstrated over the past 40+ years. We recognize that success doesn’t come out of nowhere, and we owe our current strength to our Team's hard work. Nevertheless, we remain committed to equipping ourselves for the evolving landscape of the logistic industry.

However, sales volumes in the logistics and transportation industry can be influenced by a variety of factors, including global economic conditions, changes in consumer behavior, and technological advancements. Amidst challenging times, it is anticipated that logistics and transportation companies could witness a decline in demand for their services, given that business and consumers might restrict their spending. Nevertheless, specific sectors like e-commerce and healthcare logistics may persevere with their growth trajectory.

Ultimately, the sales volumes for a logistics and transportation company will depend on a variety of factors specific to that company, its customers, and the industry. It's important for companies to stay informed on market trends and adapt their strategies accordingly to remain competitive and successful.

During a recession, businesses in the logistics industry may face a variety of challenges, including lower demand for their services, reduced cash flow, and increased competition. However, there are several strategies that companies can use to mitigate the effects of a downturn, and to face these new challenges we must work as a team.

CBX Global focus is on investing in advanced technologies, such as automation, data analytics and technical tools, to enhance efficiency and provide more competitive pricing, thereby enabling us to attract new businesses. We remain committed to enhancing our strategies in key areas such as cost management, diversification, technology, talent management, and collaboration. These efforts will enable our company to navigate a potential recession and emerge stronger on the other side.
